Empty field message

I am looking for a functionality on my site.

As is, leaving a field empty when commenting, leads to a grey page wp-comments-post.php stating that certain fields are empty.

What I would like, is an error message, that simply showsup in the field saying “Remember to insert a comment” (or something to that end), without going to another page.

I’ve looked at different plugings, but either it is a complete site-overhaul like Jetpack or Ajaxify, or it’s an outdated broken plugin, that generates an error.

I really don’t want to redo my styling all over again, as I like it, just the way it is. So if there is a solution, that doesn’t require a completely new comments-section, I’d appreciate it.
