Empty input field added to form after upgrade

    Hi,

    For some reason, I now have an extra input field under my submit button. I think this happened after I upgraded the plugin. In the code I can see that this code was added:

    <input type=”text” name=”_mc4wp_required_but_not_really” value=””>

    Not sure where it came from but now there’s 4 input fields instead of 3.

    Any solution?

    Maybe because that input field was “hidden” before but not now for some reason. Bug?

    Also receiving this problem on my site.

    I have the normal input fields, First Name, Last Name, Email – and then a mysterious additional box underneath.

    Exactly…. any solution?

    I think it’s a ‘honeypot’ – a blank screen that is there to catch out a bot, but a human shouldn’t see. Maybe an error with the recent update? Any way to fix this please anyone?

    Hey all,

    This was an issue only affecting some people, so we fixed it in the development version of the plugin without bumping the version number. You can get the fix by redownloading the plugin from www.ads-software.com.

    Your settings will not be deleted. They are preserved so you won’t lose any of your work.

    In short, take the following steps will fix it.

    1. Go to WP Admin > Plugins
    2. Deactivate and remove the MailChimp for WP plugin
    3. Click on “Add new” and search for the MailChimp for WP plugin again.
    4. Install it. Done. ??
