Empty Members albums

    I have added a members albums, a parent for all new members auto-created albums.

    The problem is that if empty, they do not show to members, so they can’t possibly upload.

    If i add some photo to the parent, they show all right BUT in the home page (that list all albumb), it shows “view 4 albums” (4 members) but entering it shows “No albums or photos found matching your search criteria” because they are empty.

    Any ideas how to solve this ?

    The albums should be owned by the user for whom it is meant for,
    OR
    the album must have owner —public— and be not empty.

    See https://wppa.nl/members/ for tsettings how to give every user his own album automatically, that he/she can upload to, even when it is initially empty.

    Ok, setting the parent (members) to public, solved half of the problem and each user can see and upload in his album.

    But the visual remains. In the home page of the gallery, the members album shows a number of albums to view and when clicked it shows “no albums etc etc).

    Doing that (untick that table) shows ALL members empty albums.

    The solution is not to show the Parent (Members) album, still i understand that you can’t know if some child albums of members has or not photos.

    A possible solution could be to add by default a photo in each auto-created album or something. Maybe i could do that in some way.

    i will think more about it.

    Can i ask why if i set the auto-created new albums to _none, no album is auto created ?

    Did you follow the instructions here: https://wppa.nl/members/ ?
    It should work correctly. Note the shortcode: you should display the content of the members album e.g.:
    [wppa type="album" album="66"]

    When the user has already an album and you chnage the parent, no new album will be created for him. Either delete the existing album(s) or chnage their parent.
