FYI: The same external Microsoft Live Calendar URL can be successfully imported into another Microsoft Live Calendar. IE MS Live Calendar can fetch these events successfully. And the external calendar in question is populated with events in every month of this year and next year.

I have somehow the same issue: I used several ICS calendar feeds (from Google Calendar) for more than a year. Everything worked fine until the update to WordPress 4.4 arrived. Now all imported events does not have a valid date and category anymore.

I just made a rollback to WordPress 4.3.1 and everything worked then correctly. With the same ICS feeds and configuration.

The “All-in-One Event Calendar” Version 2.3.4 is definitely not compatible to WordPress 4.4.

Help please guys. I have our local vicar pressing me for a solution to this MS calendar sharing problem. This is such a simple use model of the plug-in with an easily repeatable failure. For someone smart on the inner workings of AIOEC there must be an easy solution. Any help would be very much appreciated. Happy to provide admin rights to any expert that wishes to test on my multisite.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andy

Add me to the list of completely unusable calendars after the 4.4 update.

In the dashboard. my event list shows a large number of events in the count, but only one item with a checkbox in the list. The calendars on the site are not displaying any events.

We use two .ics feeds from Google Calendar to populate the events. I have removed and re-added the feeds, and when that didn’t work I completely removed and reinstalled the plugin with no success. Events still do not show.

Thankfully we are still pre-production. I was planning to go live this weekend but this has led me to a critical decision point, regarding keeping ai1ec or looking elsewhere.

I hate to ask this here, but for those with trouble – what other plugins or solutions have you found?

I have not re-entered my customization since re-installing the plugin (just colors), but here are my instances of ai1ec that are not working:

    Widget on Front Page:
    https://stpatricks.thebrownfam.com/

    Calendar Page:
    https://stpatricks.thebrownfam.com/news-and-events/calendar

Same here. Same story just another 12 sites.

Has anyone done any debugging? I’ve never looked at any ai1ec code beyond templates, but I am willing. Where should I look for the ICS import methods?

So far, the only thing I’ve been able to find are these errors during the import

WordPress database error Column ‘instant_event’ cannot be null for query INSERT INTO wp_ai1ec_events

What’s happening on 4.4 and 2.3.3 is no events are being put in the wp_ai1ec_events table at all, and that error I posted above is logged for each event in the import. I’m about to update to 2.3.4.

2.3.4 logs the same errors during a Google ICS import

I just changed the instant_event column on the database table wp_ai1ec_events to allow null values, and the events import and get stored in that table once again. I need to do some more testing before I am going to do this in production, though.

I can verify that my events table in the DB is empty also, even though the plugin reports numbers imported.

I get the event’s imported all right, but they don’t have a time or date on them. Started happening when I upgraded to 4.4

    AI1EC is 2.3.4

I’ve the same problem with upgrade 4.4 and version 2.3.4 , is there a solutions?

This is a significant problem for us over here too. I have just disabled the calendar feed doing updates and am adding the most recent events by hand for the moment. If anyone “official” could chime in as to whether this is being worked on or if I should abandon Time.ly altogether, that would be of help. I see posts on this topic going back 6 or 7 days with no official chime in.

I’ve downgraded to 4.3.1 and that seems to be the solution for now.
