• Hello,

I’ve recently migrated server with my WP installation. It had wordfence enabled so it was giving “Failed opening required” error. I’ve managed to fix it by disabling the wordfence plugin by renaming the folder and removed the user.ini file.

I’ve changed the db sitename fields to the previous domain name to the new ip (It doesn’t have a domain name currently)

The error went away but now I get an empty page with just “ss” in it. If I try reaching /wp-admin I get the wordpress error page with Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’ in /var/www/www.sitename.com/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/autodescription/bootstrap/load.php on line 192

I’ve also tried renaming/restoring the htaccess file but without success.

    How can I solve this?

    Thank you

Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the whole /autodescription/ directory there.

That will remove the plugin causing the problem.

Next, I recommend reporting the problem at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/autodescription/ so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    Hello,

I’ve already deactivated all the plugins and themes, including autodescription (SEO framework). The PHP version is set to 7.3 so it wasn’t compatible.

The home page continue to show just ss on the frontend. I can only navigate the backend.

EDIT: I’ve fount hat in my index.php there was a ‘die(“ss”);’ I removed it and now it’s visible. But where does it comes from?

Carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.
