Empty paragraph tag above code box

The plugin is superb, but it generates an empty paragraph tag above all code boxes on my site, e.g. on
https://wptraining24.com/all-in-one-event-calendar-stream-view-css/
you can see a gap above the box that I can not remove because it is not in the editor itself, neither in visual nor in text view, but apparantly generated by the plugin.Did anyone solve this bug? Even a core hack would be nice for the moment.
