Empty Paragraph Tags

    I’m wondering why wordpress is adding empty paragraph tags to the beginning and end of any text I enter and if there is a way to remove the extra tags. I don’t want to disable the auto insertion, just remove the empty tags.

    I tried entering as plain text also + there is no extra spacing around text.

<p>Some text</p>
<p></p>
