empty records on import result in field mapping mistmatch

Thanks for the plugin and hope you can help with this. I have an automated xml file that comes from acquaintcrm with some example fields being

<address>
<propertyname/>
<street>19 Royal Court</street>
<locality/>
<town>Bolton</town>
<region>Greater Manchester</region>

Notice propertyname and locality are empty (I have been told that this is indeed a valid way of indicating that it is empty) these fields are mapped to customfields and all goes well on import until it hits one of these empty records which then results in the data being put into the wrong customfield eg ‘greater Manchester’ ends up in the town field instead of region or ‘post/zip code ends up as in the town field.

Can anything be done to ensure that empty records don’t mess up other fields?
