Empty Thumbnails

I have tried using Visual Recipe Index a few times now and cannot see the thumbnails. The placemarker is there, as is the alt text – but no picture, no matter the size I select. I did not have a cache folder under includes so I created one and set the permission to 755. I am also using W3 Total Cache with an Elegant Theme if that matters. I have not published the page yet as it does not work but my website is https://www.brandnewvegan.com. All of my recipes have a featured image as well.
