    Hi @abhi9,

thank you very much for reporting this!

We’ll fix this for the next update.

Just to be sure, our Setup Wizard worked OK for you? There were no issues with it?

Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @capuderg

    Thanks for the update.

clicking on the wizard goes to /wp-mail-smtp-setup-wizard which leads to a 404 error.

    Hi,

yes, this empty menu item will be removed in the next version (it shouldn’t be there).

But running our Setup Wizard, by going to WP Mail SMTP -> Settings and then clicking on the “Launch Setup Wizard” button does run the actual setup wizard for you, right?

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Abhi,

thank you for verifying. And thank you again for reporting this issue.

    Have a nice day!

And here I thought it was me testing out php 8 at the exact same time ??

In the meantime, using the WP Admin Menu Editor plugin, which I install on all my sites by default, I have given the empty menu a name ‘SMTP Wizard’, so I can actually see it and have moved into the SMTP menu. I was inadvertently clicking the empty space which took me to the 404 and led me to believe there was a big problem with my whole WP dashboard. Now that I have moved it and know it goes nowhere I can avoid clicking it until it is permanently removed. Problem temporarily solved ??

+1. Me also noticed the link to “wp-mail-smtp-setup-wizard” in dashboard menu.
