Empty xml export file

  • High, I get an empty export file, there is no data in it (192kb). I have about 5000 posts so that’s a bit weird. The site is on a Linux hosting, php 5, WordPress 2.7.1. Does anybody have an idea how I can fix this problem?

    I’ve got the same problem, all of a sudden.

    I got the same problem, been doing backup for more than 2 years now, with size of the exported file between 15-25 megs, now the exported .xml file weight 80k, seem empty to me !, what append, what cause that, and to fix the thing ?

    After doing some database cleanup (optimize, remove revisions, etc.), this problem cleared up, as did issues my sitemap time outs and backups not being emailed.

    Oh well – might as chime in. Export files suddenly dropped form 10 MB to ca 300Kb. On version 2.9.2, btw. I’ve found a few threads with this problem. No solution yet.
