When I try to view the robots.txt file that’s being created through this plugin, it displays an empty version of the XML sitemap that’s created through the Yoast SEO plugin.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

I see a robots.txt with expected contents. Did you fix the issue already?

Nope, nothing has changed on my end. I’m still seeing this – https://i.imgur.com/ogMLiHu.png

How odd. Have you tried looking at the URL with another browser or in incognito mode if you’re using Chrome? I’m wondering if you’re seeing something incorrectly cached by your browser.

I see rules such as (just a sample):

    Disallow: /*corporate-center/
    Disallow: /relocation-survey
    Disallow: /publix-survey/

I’ve cleared my cache, tried in incognito mode in Chrome, and also in Firefox and Safari. Still no luck.

Those are definitely some of the rules in the file though!

Seems like a weird issue with Yoast where it’s trying to claim that URI as its own for sitemaps even though the sitemap URL is properly working at /sitemap_index.xml

It may be a Yoast issue, but what’s odd is that the robots.txt shows correctly for me. Is your site registered with Google Search Console? If yes, have you checked what Google is “seeing”?
