One of my clients is using Publicize for auto posting on Twitter and Facebook, we just finished setting it up and when it posted a couple days ago we noticed [:en] at the beginning of the post and [:] at the end. We are using a language plugin, but I am not sure why this is showing up in Publicize but not in the Post.

If anyone has any idea on how to remove this I would appreciate it,

    Thank you,
    -Frank

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

That’s indeed a known issue with the Publicize module, and something we need to fix. Until the problem is solved, I’d recommend using the Publicize message box appearing right above the Publish button in your dashboard; it will allow your client to specific a custom Publicize message, that will overwrite the one sent to Facebook and Twitter by default. As long as they don’t add any shortcodes in that custom message, they should be all set.

I know it’s not ideal, but I’m afraid that’s the only work-around I can suggest for now.
