• I am developing a Multisite Multilingual blog, starting from Mark Jaquith’s WP-Skeleton (uses WordPress in a submodule). This is an en_US site which I forked from GitHub.

However I want the two languages on my site to be en_GB and en_DE.

So I downloaded the en_GB and en_DE language packs and went to update the front and backend languages on my site from en_US to en_GB using MLS.

The problem is that BOTH of these appear as ‘English’ on the MLS settings page dropdowns for:

    – Settings>Multisite Language Switcher Options>Blog Language
    – Settings>Multisite Language Switcher Options>Admin Language

The language options displayed in the dropdowns in both cases are:

    – English
    – German
    – English

I can work out that the order actually means:

    – English (United States)
    – German
    – English (UK)

The options are correctly displayed on the main Settings>General>Site Language dropdown.

Can the dropdown on the MLS settings page be changed so that the longer description of the languages is displayed (including the country) so that it is easier to differentiate between different countries with the same language?

    Thanks,
    Henry
