• Hello,

I have 3 sites that are using the en_ZA as the Site Language for WordPress.

I manage MULTIPLE sites but only these 3 are using Elementor.

1 of the sites is hosted on a totally different server but experiencing the same problem.

WordPress is notifying me that there is a translation update for the Elementor Pro en_ZA translation file and it is ONLY on these 3 sites because this is where Elementor is Installed and yet whenever I try and update it, it shows the following:

    Update Translations
Updating translations for Elementor Pro (en_ZA)…
    Download failed. Not Found
    Go to WordPress Updates page

Only the sites with Elementor are complaining about updating the en_ZA translation file.

This has been happening now for over a week.

    Any advice is welcome

  • My two sites still do the same thing even after changing the site language to US English. Something must get stuck in the database in Elementor. Cannot be caching because I completely cleared all entries.

@nsanpe it’s definitely not a cachng thing because it’s been happening on mine for over 2 months now.

I also opened a ticket with Elementor support and the also confirmed that this is a bug in Elementor and that “they are working on it“.

The problem is that not many people really use the en_za translation unless they are from South Africa so there arent many people reporting the issue.

The more people report the issue the more attention it will get.

It’s not just en_za users.. also au, ca, nz and a number of others.

Yeah correct @xyzulu we have NZ translations.

Also having the issue lodged a ticket with Pro Support 2 weeks ago still no fixes

    Support Agent:
Upon checking, yes, it does seem to be going on for a while. Currently I can’t provide any specific details or ETA. What I can say is that it has moved from the R&D phase and onto propagation stages.

My advice use a theme with a built in page builder like Divi dont have these issues with them majority of our sites are on Divi not one translation issue with them to date.

Page builders served as a third party plugins are the worst in my experience. I always cringe when I have to manage a site that has been built with elementor or wpbakery

ah ok! then I am glad to see it is more translations and not just mine! LOL!

I’m of the same opinion, the majority of my sites are also built on Divi and only the Elementor has issues!

Yes mine are (previously) CA Canadian English. I did however change both in general WP site settings to US English as I thought there should be no problems there. Something in Elementor is doing this not the WP installation. This has been for many months already.

Looks like this is sorted. I refreshed the updates this morning and there are no updates waiting for translations.

    Can anyone else confirms this?

It cleared the update translation finally when in English US. Yet when switched back to English Canada, the same update badge came back and when updating the error is back not found.
