Enable auto publish post to my facebook account not working

  • The box on the post edit screen is always set to (Enable auto publish post to my facebook account) is always set to “NO” when in Draft. It should be YES so that when the post is published, it shares to Facebook. I think this changed after the last update to v2.4. We have to manually set this before publishing now. What am i missing in settings?

  • A new settings for controlling auto publish on create is added under basic settings,
    Auto publish on creating posts/pages/custom post types : Enabled / Disabled .
    By default it is set enabled so deactivate and then re-activate WP2Social Auto Publish.
    Please let us know, if the issues persists.

    Thank you, i worked it out and the posts are going to Facebook now. However if the post status is set to “Pending Review” the auto publish button gets switched off. As Pending Review is the standard for publishing posts submitted by editors and authors, is there a way to make the button say YES when pending?

    The plugin used to work with Pending Review before but stopped some time ago and we’ve had to work with draft status since.

    You can set Auto publish on editing posts/pages/custom post types to Use settings from post creation or post updation (under general settings section)

    Thanks, before i do that can i ask if that will cause the app to post all changes to Facebook? For example if somebody edits out a typo from a published post?

    Yes, the editor should override the publishing permission at metabox settings at the post page, otherwise it will be auto posted.
