“Enable Auto Update” Column not avilable in the Plugins Screen

    I have a WP site running the latest version of WP. The problem I have is that the Plugins pane displays the option to ‘Enable Auto Updates in a column on the right of the page is missing. also there is no Automatic Updates to be selected in the Screen Options section.

    I found the same issue (question) here on this platform from 8 monthes+ ago, and it was caused by “define(‘AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED’, true);” in wp-config.php”

    However, I checked my wp-config.php and everything seems to be alright. I don’t have this code, I don’t have an “add_filter” code. nothing! also there is nothing been added to functions.php. (using Flatsome theme)

    I’ve also trid to disable all plugins and activated a WordPress Twenty* theme while doing a trouble shooting but still I can find anything!

    Any ideas please?

    Also check if you have this snippet in wp-config.php:

    add_filter( ‘auto_update_plugin’, ‘__return_false’ );

    What WP version your site is on?

    I’m using V.6.2.2. I also read somewhere that if you install wordpress via an installatron installer in cpanel it’s possible to have similar issues. I don’t know if this is true and if so, what do i have to do next. excuse my knowledge in this matter. But I know that my hosting provide that option and this is how I actually started this website.

    For now If I go to my cpanel > Installatron installer; I find my website there running on WP 6.2.2. and only from the settings there I can enable?or disable all kind of updates.

    Can you please verify whether the “Automatic Updates” tab, located after the “Description,” is visible on your Plugin Pane?

    Dear @rashiguptaa, This is exactly the problem, the “Automatic Updates” tab, located after the “Description,”?is missing! I don’t have that.

    And when I click on the screen options (top right) The only column I can mark/unmark is the Description column.

    Hi There @lteachum, unfortunately I couldn’t manage to find out what the problem was. I almost tried every solution I found on internet and it didn’t help. I think I made a mistake by the first time i installed wordpress. however I don’t have the time to start all over again. the solution for me was an update plugin, I’m using (Easy Updates Manager) at the moment which is almost the same as the wordpress update function.
