Enable line breaks in category description

  • When ever I use line breaks in category descriptions it gets strip off. I tried searching the forums but it seems the answers are outdated and the plugins available aren’t working.

    What code do I add on my functions.php to make the line breaks or any html work?

    The plugin GD Press Tools has, amongst its many options, one for allowing HTML in description fields for users, categories, tags etc.

    There’s probably a less sledgehammer-cracking-walnut solution, but I know that one works.
