Enable Media Doesn't work for me

Additional info. The file does get replaced, I can grab the url and put it into my browser and the contents are the new file. I’m using the link in a table(tablepress) and the link still points to the old file. If I throw away the link and run update, then relink and save, it still points to the old file. I don pt know the internals of wordpress but I suspect the original file link is cashed somehow and does not pick up the replaced file. Is the something I’m missing??
