    Hi there.

I am interested in using this plugin as my current plugin is not working well with CRON running via C-Panel rather than WP.

I see an option called “Enable New Cron System” but there is no additional information for this even via the learn more link (I get redirected back to the same settings page).

Could you elaborate further on this option and whether or not the plugin will work with CRON running via C Panel please.

    Thank you,

    Hello @timveck ,

    Thanks for reaching us,

So far we could understand you’re interested to updating your feed from server or cPanel.

By default, CTX Feed runs automatic updates using WordPress corn system WP Cron. The new cron system also utilizes WP Cron but it updates the feed in batches, similar to how feed creation works. If you prefer to use the server cron, note that the new cron system may not function properly. To use the server cron, make sure to disable the new cron system it will revert to the old system(which updates the feed in a single run) and regenerate your existing feeds after opening their feed config to schedule those.

To setup your cron on server follow this article: How To Setup Cron for Auto Feed update?

    Dear @timveck

    Thanks for reaching us.

We introduced the new cron system that splits the feed cron event into multiple events in case the file size is too large. However, we do not recommend this to our users any more, so we have kept it disabled by default.

Now, to setup cron by C-Panel, here are the documents you may find helpful –

How to Fix Auto Feed Update, not Working Issue?

Please follow the first document to set up cron through CPanel, and feel free to contact us again if you have any further queries.

    Hi All,

    @mansary @shahedbd71

    Colleague of @timveck here,

Just to clarify, if everything in this step, “OPTION 2: For cPanel Configuration” is taken, will the plugin work fine? Is there anything else to consider when using this plugin using Cpanel with WP Cron disabled?

Our Web Hosts already made the switch for us, is there anything else we need to let them know to do?

    Thanks!

Just to clarify, the plugin successfully generates the product feed, completes the process when creating a feed for both Facebook and Google, allows me to download the feed, but does not save it to managed feeds in the plugin. is WP Cron being disabled the cause of this?

    Hello @timveck

Do you mean teh feed is not appear on the list: https://prnt.sc/_yPyMEJbrJYd If the feed is not appear on the manage feed page it’s because of caceh issue, please clear cache from your cache plugin. If you’re using Lite Speed cache please clear cache the newly created feed will be appear on the list.
