• is it just me…

I can’t find any plugins to enable PHP in posts for multisite subsites.

either the snippet isn’t saved or in the case of creating shortcodes, nothing happens on the post.

any suggestions on a plugin (or functions.php edit) to allow PHP execution in posts?

    thanks

  • I believe that PHP in pages/posts is by default not permitted in WordPress Multisite for security purposes. It would be crazy to allow users to insert PHP into posts…very bad things could happen.

I’m not 100% sure so it would be nice if someone else could confirm ??

yes, you are correct about security issues. in fact it is also good policy to disable editing in wp-config… however, multisite does not always mean multi-User… in this instance a single user manages multiple domains/sites. some php enable plugins also allow giving particular users permissions. but I can’t find any that work on multisite – they have issues with where/how the snippets are generated/stored

I don’t even really need a plugin if I can get some help on what code to put in functions.php etc

    regards

Perhaps, but I’m not familiar with that. I’ll ask a few friends of mine who might be able to help out with this functionality.
