How can I enable the redirection and message for all posts and pages (except the home page) by default? Right now this has to be set separately on each post and page:

    Type of restriction: Redirect
    Display for: Logged in Users

The redirection returns the user to the home page where the login or register forms are displayed in the sidebar. The message is displayed beneath the post there.

    Thank you!

note — The March 26, and March 27 posts have the “Type of restriction” and “Display for” settings enabled.

update — we would like to use the “message” option to display teaser content on a default (global) basis as described above.

Just to be absolutely clear about what we need to do, I’ll re-phrase the question:

How can I enable the message restriction for all posts and pages (except the home page) by default?

Right now this has to be set separately on each post and page:
    Type of restriction: Message
    Display for: Logged in Users

The posts where I manually added these settings work perfectly!

I have message restriction selected in the theme options panel, but I need this to be applied to all 1,924 existing posts without doing this one by one. Also, there is no checkbox for “Display for: Logged in Users” in the options panel.

    Thank you, again!

also, please note — this site has only one subscription plan — free.

Login required to read full posts or pages (except the home page).

    Hello @joeco,

You cannot automatically restrict all your posts using the free version, it has to be done manually. An add-on is available for this task in the paid version.

Our other plugin, Profile Builder, has an option to make a website Private, allowing access only to specific pages unless you login. Maybe you can make use of this option ?

    Hello Georgian,

    Thanks for responding.

Which addon in the paid Member Subscriptions plugin package do I use to do what I described above?

How do I integrate a Profile Builder form to replace the form provided by the Member Subscriptions plugin?

    Thanks again!

    Hello Georgian,

Nevermind! We bought the paid version, the Global Content Restriction add-on works perfectly.

The only odd thing now is the excerpts were stripped of html tags. Is there any way to prevent this?

    Thanks

    Hello Georgian,

We bought the paid versions of both plugins and I was able to get the forms we needed.

    Two issues:

    1. The users made with the Profile Builder form are assigned to the Free Subscription role as expected, but they don’t display on the Members page.

    2. Could you please send a function to defeat the stripping of html tags (except <div> and </div> tags) in the excerpt “Restricted Posts Preview” text?

    Thanks for the great plugins!

    Hello @joeco,

Please redirect these questions to our paid support channel as we aren’t allowed to offer paid support on these forums. They are only for the free version of the plugin.

Open a ticket here and we’ll answer as soon as possible: https://www.cozmoslabs.com/support/open-ticket/

    Regards.
