• I’ve went through in both IE and FireFox and both are set to send referrers, and I’ve also tried commenting out some code in the wp-login.php suggested in some thread yet I’m still getting this error.

I haven’t installed anything new recently that should affect this, I don’t use any firewalls other then the routers built-in firewall.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

    ???

    I think so…

At last some one else who had the same problem I did…. there’s code in the login.php file that tries to reset the site url if it “thinks” you might have moved it. there is a problem when php is run as a CGI component rather than an apache module. This results in your siteurl being reset EVERYTIME you head into WP. This also means that siteurl is now corrupted when being used in the referers comparison. This results in WP thinking you do not have referers enabled.

Removing the lines from login.php and then resetting the siteurl (from either phpMyAdmin or the WP Admin) will fix the problem.

    jerm’s post here fixes it.
