• I have just downloaded 2.7 and can not get the visual editor to work, after lots of searching (which has been a bit tricky as I am not really up with all this stuff) I think I found the answer which is to check the box to enable the visual editor in my user profile.

However when I go to my user profile, I can not find it. I have looked up and down the page and it is not there. It just starts with the colour scheme.

Is anyone able to tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you!

    Here is a screen capture, <a href="https://overload.net.au/image.jpg"></a>

Can anyone suggest what may have gone wrong?

same problem here. the edit/add screen comes up in HTML. If I click on Visual everything goes to white text. Then I can’t click back to HTML.

It doesn’t matter if the visual editor is enabled.

but to answer your question, there should be a Visual Editor option above the color scheme.

my problem is a plugin… just gotta figure out which one

I have the same prob, but it says I got an error in a script “tiny_mce.js?ver=20081129:1” and I cant edit in visual editor when I use MF, it works ok in IE. This started after I autoinstalled v2.7

@mavs79 this usually means that the editor files are either missing or are corrupted/have bad permissions. Try deleting and re-uploading the tinymce directory.

@awacs is that the first js error on the page? If yes, perhaps try the above suggestion too.
