Enabling adding comments on Canvas Theme

  • I have been a web developer for some time but I am new to WordPress. I am currently playing with it and trying to enable the adding of comments to Posts. I have gone through https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Comments_in_WordPress and done everything that should enable comments, however there is still no link appearing to add a comment to a Blog entry.

    I am guessing that there is an additional setting buried in the Canvas theme that also needs to be turned on but I can’t find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Make sure your template is calling the comments template. It is usually something like this:

    <?php comments_template(); ?>

    Thanks for the help guys. It was actually a problem with the Canvas display settings. Under Canvas/Display Options I had to Set ‘Post Content’ to ‘Full Content’.
