I’ve created a custom .mo file (bp-follow-mm.mo) and uploaded it (and the .po file) to the bp-follow /languages directory, but I’m missing the rest of the steps to make it override the default language file.

I’ve found some other threads which ended with you making a note to write such a guide – just wondering if such a guide exists yet? Thx!

You have to make sure your language domain is the same as that of the WordPress install.

By default, WordPress installs use the en-US domain, so your language files should be named bp-follow-en_US.po and bp-follow-en_US.mo.

Since your language is going to be custom, you should save your files at:
wp-content/languages. BP Follow looks for custom language files there before looking in its own directory.

    I love this plugin @r-a-y.

After updating to 2.1, I noticed that the alt text (tooltip) doesn’t show up on the Follow/Unfollow button when you hover over it. I on’y noticed this because I replaced the button with an icon, and I need my members to be able to know what the icon means.

    Where can I change this?

Great job with this plugin by the way. I’m going to start looking into extending it’s functionality soon. I’ll let you know what I come up with.
