• I have been trying to use BlogJet to create posts with pictures for uploading. The instructions for BlogJet say that WP must be enable to load pictures. However, that optoin is not available on Tools | Options. For some reason, maybe unrelated, BlogJet will not upload pictures to the server. The paths are right, the user name and password are right, and I have sufficient rights on the server (755). There is a thread on BlogJet’s forum that discusses the exact problem, but the solution discussed does not match the software.

  • what version of WordPress are you using and can you point us where this BlogJet forum thread is?

if using WordPress 2.0, is /path/to/wp-content/uploads/ writeable (issue a chmod 777 for it and test)? does Options > Miscellaneous Options point to wp-content/uploads?

if using 1.5.2 or earlier, what are the settings for Options > Miscellaneous Options?

and lastly, what is BlogJet and is it compatible with WordPress 2.0?

I am using WP 2.0. BlogJet is at https://www.blogjet.com/forum/. Regarding the Options settings, the only two items on the Miscellaneous | Options pages are “Track Links’ Update Times” and “Use legacy my-hacks.php file support.”

BlogJet is fully compatible with WordPress. If even has a profile for uploading to it. I was able to get it to work with an FTP upload, but it is cleaner to use what they call (direct upload). It doesn’t work, which makes me think that it is a server issue.

There is supposed to be an “allow pictures to be uploaded” on the WP Options page, but as above, it is not there.
