    Hi there

I’m kind of feeling my way through this process, but so far so good, it’s all working. There’s one thing however that I need to find a solution for, and I’m hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. In our AD, we have many German users, and so some non-standard characters appear from time to time in names. For example, Gr?ert. After this particular user was imported, it shows in WordPress as Gr銤ert, and so I sense an encoding problem, somewhere. But I don’t know where or where to even start to look. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Did you check your MySQL database that UTF-8 is used as encoding character set? Please get in touch with us to receive a written offer to get this fixed in the near future.

I found that my database is encoded in Latin1 and the wp_users table is encoded with UTF8. I guess this mismatch is the problem.
