Encoding issue in URLs
-
I am experiencing issues with my URLs, and I am not sure if it is a result of a plugin or something else.
In the Address Bar, the url looks normal, like this: https://www.microfracturesurgery.net/meniscus-surgery/know-your-options-for-a-meniscus-tear/
But when I copy and paste the URL somewhere, it is showing as this: https://www.microfracturesurgery.net/meniscus-surgery/kn%D0%BEw-y%D0%BEur-options-f%D0%BEr-%D0%B0-meniscus-tear/
This was not happening a few days ago before I installed the “view all posts” plugin. I have since uninstalled and deleted the plugin but still experiencing this. On the plugin page it says there might be a conflict with Yoast SEO (which I use). Maybe this is related? But as I mentioned, I have removed the plugin and checked all of the settings and things look ok. The plugin I used is located here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/view-all-posts-pages/
The funny thing is this is not happening for all of the Posts on the site (2 are totally fine). I set up an All Posts page in order to view them as a directory https://www.microfracturesurgery.net/posts/
From looking at the text in the wrong URLs, it seems that letters are being replaced with these characters. Here are all of them:
? A = %D0%B0 and %d0%b0
? E = %D0%B5
? I = %d1%96
? O = %d0%be
? S = d1%95
? Y = %d1%83From some serious googling, I have found that this is a character encoding issue. But I have no clue why it is happening, and/or how to fix it.
I compared the two good posts with the rest of the bad posts, and could not see any similarities or anything that sticks out. (i.e. categories, etc)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Andy
