Just a quick question: I’ve started using Encounters Lite and love it. I’ve played with the Preferences Lite theme as well. I’m not much of a coder, but maybe you could give some quick advice. As far as flexibility and features, is there much difference in your themes? It seems Encounters Lite is more recent, so I’m working under an assumption that as you build themes and learn yourself, your themes are improving. I’m just wondering what your take is on this.

    Second question:
While I’ve been working more with Encounters, I like the rounded edges around the showcase image in the Preferences theme better than the double border in the Encounters theme. But the rounded buttons when I scale the site down are kind of a deal breaker for me, so I’ve been leaning towards the Encounters theme. But should I do that? Is there an easy way to not use the theme’s rounded buttons? Just curious.

Though different questions, they’re related. I’m trying to figure out where to land before I pour too much time and resources into digging into the site build. Your themes are fabulous, by the way. Twitter bootstrapped, responsive, and exceptionally flexible sold me. Thanks for all your hard work!

  • Hi Rob…The whole idea is to always improve on each theme as I release them, whether visually and/or with coding. There is always room for improvement. So with my current themes, there is a difference in each one.

As for the rounded corners on Preference, you can always modify it and remove the corners; in fact I know of a few people who have done just that, simply be removing the rounded corner css. However, what is happening when you scale down the theme with the corners?

Thanks for the quick reply. Your active participation in these forums was something else that made me eager to employ your themes.

Nothing is wrong with the rounded corners when I scale it down; it’s just an aesthetic I’m not crazy about. Just personal taste. Like I said, I’m not much of a coder, but I’ll look into how to remove the rounded corner stuff in CSS, if I decide to use that theme. Thanks very much for your reply.

No worries… I was thinking could there be a bug that showed up. Anyway, the rounded corners can be easily removed. Enjoy the themes, unless you have any further questions on the topic started?
