    Hi there,

    I’m using Endicia ORDERS solution (web) for shipping.

    I’ve connected my store with Endicia, it’s pulling the orders from the WooCommerce store through API requests, and we are able to get all the order details.

    However, when the order is shipped, it was supposed to update the order status in WooCommerce automatically, but it isn’t working.

    I have confirmed that all the info/updated status is being sent to WooCommerce, but it somehow is blocking the system to be updated.

    Could someone please assist me on that issue?

    I have confirmed that all the info/updated status is being sent to WooCommerce, but it somehow is blocking the system to be updated.

    I am assuming that Endicia is sending a REST API call to your orders endpoint. Could you post the exact call here so we can take a look?

    I don’t have access to the call itself. I was told by support they are not able to provide.

    Thank you for doing the call, but I am afraid it is the wrong direction for the api call. You wrote:

    That means that Endecia sends a call to WooCommerce to update the order status in WooCommerce, correct?

    If that is what is happening then we can’t do much unless we know what exactly Endecia does when they try and update the order status.
    Are you able to find out what their call is maybe?

    I contacted their support in order to try to get the actual log of the API calls, but I haven’t heard back yet.

    I was thinking that perhaps I have to give permission to that API to read/write the website? I know that is something that their plugin should already be doing, but it seems that it’s not working though.

    If Endecia is accessing your orders endpoint then it should already be doing so with some form of authorisation. They should be using this call: https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/#update-an-order and as you can see here: https://d.pr/i/7B1xIi – this needs a username and password.

    While we wait you can try the following:

    * Take a backup of your site.
    * Activate: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rest-api-log/
    * Try to update an order from Endecia.

    There should now be a log entry for that call. What does it say?

    Hello again,

    I tried the steps that you’ve suggested, however, it did not register any call.

    Even though Endicia pulled the order (I can see the it came in with all the details), it did not log any entry. The only entries we had was from jetpack, and wc/wo.

    I went through each of them to see if there was anything about the order but didn’t find anything.

    I’m not sure why, but it should register something. Any thoughts?

    Hi Luiz,

    Make sure the API call has read/write permissions and there isn’t a tool on your site blocking it, meaning there could be a firewall or security software installed which causes a block for security reasons to the instructions sent or received.

    You can run a conflict test to rule out this hypothesis. For more detailed instructions about conflict testing, check out this – How to test for plugin and theme conflicts.

    Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Let us know how that goes.

    I couldn’t find anything that was blocking it. I asked my host to check, but apparently, everything is fine.

    I’ve run the troubleshooting suggested by WooCommerce, but there was no conflict.

    Even though Endicia pulled the order (I can see the it came in with all the details), it did not log any entry. The only entries we had was from jetpack, and wc/wo.
    I went through each of them to see if there was anything about the order but didn’t find anything.
    I’m not sure why, but it should register something. Any thoughts?

    Since the REST API call of Endicia was successful there really should be something logged. If there is no log, I am afraid there is not much we can do. I think you need to work with Endicia to resolve this since we cannot even log their call.
    Just to be sure, they are using REST API calls, correct (and not webhooks)? Do you have a documentation for us of Endecia that illustrates the initial setup?

    I did reach out to Avada support and they also said it’s out of their scope since it’s not an issue caused by their product.

    I agree. Their theme is certainly not involved here.

    I appreciate your time and help! Endicia support confirmed that they use REST API.

    The only documentation they have regarding the initial setup is this (which I already have done 3x with their support on TeamViewer).

    I understand you followed the conflict test guide leaving only the below plugins active along with enabling the default Storefront theme but nothing has changed, correct?

    We’re providing support for WooCommerce core’s issues on this forum and incompatibilities with third-party plugins are outside our scope of support. As a next step, I can however recommend enabling debug logging in WordPress. As errors are logged, they should appear in wp-content/debug.log. You can open this file in a text editor and go from there.

    If that doesn’t help either, you may need to hire a developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/ who can access your site’s backend and try to figure out what the problem is due to.
