  • Let’s click on that “Please update now” link => follow the screen. Let us know.

I met the same probelm, too.

After I click “Please update now”, it told me I have no permission to do that. Why?

    Same issue in my blog.

Updated it manually (but successful), but now it starts showing the update_nag() “WordPress 2.7 available now!”, too. After a 2nd upgrading (this time automatically, worked again), the nag still shows.

    Any ideas?

    who can help me

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    /wp-admin/update-core.php

@stephenng: When I click on that “Please update now”-link, the upgrade-procedure is started.

I finish that procedure and get the same situation as you can see in my screenshot, i.e. I am encouraged to upgrade again to versiopn 2.7.

Now this is very funny: I am using WP Super Cache and was able to fix this issue by refreshing the complete cache.

I should have done this earlier, right after the first upgrade-attempt.

I’m having the same issue and i don’t use the WP super Cache plugin. When I click on the Please update now”-link i’m directed to update-core.php which says: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” any ideas?
    thanks.

I found this same problem in several threads (as well as my own blog). I reported and will try to consolidate efforts at https://trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/8729
