    Hi Freddys,

This is the first I heard of that. From what I know the plugin still works, but likely need values from the HTML code.

Could you contact their support and ask how to find the HTML code to add their form directly to your site? That will be the source of the info in the instructions.

    Cheers!

I called Constant Contact and they told me the best way to get a form is to use “Sign-Up Tools”. I pressed the Create a Sign-Up Form button and created a form that just captured the email address and put it on the correct list. The link tot reform is here:
    https://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/d.jsp?llr=tdv5ckmab&p=oi&m=1112735175795&sit=f6oqbqvhb&f=6a9ee93c-3674-4228-a53a-efccb342b76e

That link seems to relocate here:
    https://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/manage/optin?v=001cp-XfELEExf6ORGPs6JZGEldaR74KSj0X9FrNaJrTcHn-u0gFaEK1SvYrczavhYYAEfLI4sUy_dRqsL0QGqQrA8k9vuM36uSBXdoPYZIZfU%3D

I will paste the form tags and everything in-between below.
So I filled out the plugin, but receive an error.. That example can be seen here:
    https://bostonconcussion.com

Not sure how to proceed now, but it seems that Constant Contact has changed the way it let’s its customers make forms for their service.. and it doesn’t seem like forward progress.

I’m not sure what they’re doing, but may be requiring people use their website to subscribe. You can try this in the plugin, but if it is failing, you may need to specify to Constant Contact that you want a form that you can directly add to your site—not an embed or iframe or an offsite link.

    Can you try:

    Form Action Field: https://visitor.r20.constantcontact.com/manage/optin?v=001cp-XfELEExf6ORGPs6JZGEldaR74KSj0X9FrNaJrTcHn-u0gFaEK1SvYrczavhYYAEfLI4sUy_dRqsL0QGqQrA8k9vuM36uSBXdoPYZIZfU%3D

    E-Mail Field Name: subscriberProfile.visitorProps[0].value

    hi–

wanted to chime in on this thread to see what might be going on with constant contact.

i sent in an email to the support team asking for “a form that I can directly add to my site—not an embed or iframe or an offsite link” and here’s what i got in return:

The default sign up form located in your account has not changed. Constant Contact hosts the form on their servers, so there is no way to obtain the HTML code for the form. The only HTML code you have the ability to obtain is code that would render a sign up button to use on a website. Unfortunately, there is not a way to obtain the HTML code of the Constant Contact form. You may want to check our marketplace, and search for a form building service that will allow you to create your own form, obtain the HTML code and sync with your Constant Contact account using an API.

so, does this mean i’m stuck with a button?

    thanks for any insight,
    emily

I had to bail on constant contact and just switched over to MailChimp.. which worked just as one would suspect it would. Not worth the hassle of working with CC anymore.. done and done.

I’ve tried to find a way around this, but it sounds like Constant Contact changed and isn’t open to the type of usage that the plugin provided.

Using their API is on the eventual roadmap, though I couldn’t begin to put a timeline on it.
