    Hi,
We’re having some strange issues between the website and Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce tracking.

We’re sure that everything is created in the right order because complete EE tracking worked until the new version of the website. (Everything was set via the GTM4WP plugin).

Our problem lays in the lack of revenue data in Universal Analytics. When we finished with the new website development, the issues started to be visible in Enhanced Analytics.

All tags from Google Tag Manager are firing and sending the data to Google Analytics, but revenue is not collected.

Thanks in advance for the support.
    Stefan`

Just FYI, we’re also using Blocksy theme with the Woocomerce.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the details.
Can you also post the URL of your site? Can I place a test order without the need to use my bank card for real payment?

What was exactly updated on your site?

    Hi,

I have a very similar problem, without updating anything…

All the events are detected in Analytcs even gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC.

Revenue value (net + tax + shippin) and total sum are correct if a take a look via Tag Manager or developer console, but the transaction is not visible in GA nor the revenue…

I can give you access to all the stuff (WP, GTM, Analytics) Thomas if it helps…

    My setup:
    WP 5.8.1
    WooCommerce 5.8.0
    GTM for WordPress 1.13.1
    Theme: Astra Pro 3.7.3

Any help from your side is appreciated. I already read all of the instructions several times from your plugin website as well from https://monobunt.at/blog/….

You can find my email here: https://ratiscon.com

Thanks a lot for your help in advance

    Hi @tola1979,

You are using Cookiebot for consent management which adds Google Consent Mode into GTM and gtag.js without the option to turn this off. This means that when someone presses the black button in your consent banner, GA will be instructed to deny analytics storage. In that case, you will see the hit leaving your browser but GA will not use this data to include it in reporting.

    Hi Thomas,

actually the site where I run the Woocommerce shop is on a different domain but in maintanance mode at the moment, so only logged in users can access. However there I use CookieBot as well.

The problem with the missing revenue occurs if I accept all cookies as well.
I can follow in GA all the happenings in the shop. Even the Events from your tutorial are created.

Just the revenue value is not applied.

I would really like to show you on a remote session. I think, it should be a config failure of mine but I cannot find my bug…

So again: even if all cookies are accepted the problem occurs.

    greets

    Hi folks,

I’ve managed to fix the problem.

The main issue was with Woocomerce translation of the currency. Our currency before the update of the website was “RSD”, but when the developer updated the theme and the Woocomerce plugin and translated it to Serbian, it changed the currency value in the data layer to “SRPDIN”. It messed the tracking and the currency value was unusable.

I’ve gone through the checkout steps and Google Tag Assistant helped me with that issues (“Currency value cannot have more than three-letter in the data layer”).
Then, we changed it in the theme editor to “RSD”.

@duracelltomi Thomas, thanks for the update and for the support.

@tola1979 Tamas, go through the checkout steps and try to observe the values. Or try a cross-domain tracking setup (I’ve had similar issues with another website).

@stefanan : thanks for your hints! I checked it out but (un)fortunately I have everything in EUR –> this is in my case not the reason.

@duracelltomi : I set up GA4 based on your guide, and it works with the same CookieBot and WooCommerce setup like a charm. GA-UA still does not report on revenue, but each event was configured (following 1:1 your guide).

    very strange…

As a workaround I can live with GA4 reporting but it would be nice to figure it out, what’s the reason behind the GA-UA misbehavior.
Can I provide any additional information to you to figure out the issue?

    best regards

    Hello!

We are having a similar issue with one of our client sites: revenue is being logged properly but transactions are not in the Enhanced Ecommerce view in GA.

Site is https://tcmatthews.ie. Some of our digital products are free samples, but we would still like to track those as transactions in GA. The events we set up in GTM are tracking properly (we had 28 free sample orders in the last 30 days) as you can see in this screenshot:

    https://prnt.sc/1yvs3gw

But in the same time window, the Enhanced Ecommerce view only shows 7 transactions:

    https://prnt.sc/1yvsaow

As you can see, the data in some of the other columns is also not matching up properly. Any insight into why some of these are being tracked while others are missed, even though they are tracked properly in events, would be a huge help!

    Thanks for your time,
    J

    Hi @originate ,
please move your question to it’s own topic. It’s not considered nice to take over another’s topic and makes it simpler for the plugin author and other contributors to help you! ??

    Hi @franz92,

So sorry about that! Not sure how to delete the question but will start my own thread.
