enhancement for disable Media permalinks

When I enabled “redirect media attachments to parents” it doesn’t also include media types that have no parent, so when I delete a bunch of posts, it doesn’t redirect the images.
A nice enhancement would be to include parentless children. I enabled the code found here and it worked like a charm
