• Advanced Gallery is unique and well done, thank you!

Two areas I hope are enhanced are (1) randomize gallery option upon page load and (2) image clipping setting (CSS object-position attribute) to override the centering default.

    Hey,
Thanks for your input! I’ll pass it along to the developer:)

    All the best,

    Hey,
The gallery is static html, it’s not built on page load so no plans for random. Also random is generally not user friendly, people that come back to your gallery to find an image will be really frustrated to see the entire thing randomized ?? So even if I could make it possible I wouldn’t recommend you did that. The only way you can make it possible would be to add javascript that randomized the HTML. Or used a filter in PHP to parse the HTML and randomize it. But that isn’t something I can develop for you.

Are you wanting to set all the images to something other than centered or are you wanting image by image settings? I’ll have to think about that.

    Thanks for the reply Ben.

My use cases are mostly with the slider. Often the purpose for sliders is to present non-linear information. Showing the slides in the same order means visitors see the exact same automation each time they visit, making a page quickly feel stale. It also means they generally see only the top cards of the deck (so to speak).

I appreciate the difficulty of randomization as implemented, but for sliders it would make this already killer feature more powerful and capable of replacing other sliders in many instances.

A general implementation would probably extend to galleries too, but I agree that the use cases there are probably far fewer.
