    Hi,

    I am using Enigma and I love it, but I am experiencing several issues. My home page doesn’t show on my mobile device, the mobile pages are cut in half in some instances when I select request desktop from mobile device. I have mobile view ticked, but even if I request desktop it’s weird from browser to browser. Is there a way to make it appear across all tablets & browsers (i.e IE, Fire Fox, Chrome, and Safari) where it’s 100% readable with ease? It seems to have disappeared after last theme update.

    Also, my Amazon A store is cut in half on the mobile view. Is there a way to make it and the entire page’s contents show https://celebrityscope.net in mobile view?

    I would like to keep the sidebar on the about page only. I have added a blank text box to the archives in order to remove it from the posts page because it was displaying by default and now there is an ugly little shadow there. In using widget logic plug in, all sidebar items remain on about page except the Twitter feed… it still shows up on the posts page and I can’t remove it or mail chimp box from single posts.

    I also notice that my posts are left justified by default I guess… when I make them full page either they disappear or nothing changes. Lastly, I would like to remove all borders from the side bar widgets so that they are blending with my background. I have been trying everything, but I am a newbie. If I wasn’t already bald my hair would be falling out. Help. :/

    You’re using a plugin for the mobile side of things aren’t you? Jetpack?

    Hi, Andrew!

    Yes, I’m using Jetpack. Thanks for responding.

    So you’re having a problem with Jetpack – you need to post here https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#postform

    Thanks, Andrew! Unfortunately, no one will be available until the 20th. Hopefully someone that’s having/ had a similar issue can assist me before then. :/

    Why are you using JetPack mobile option – Enigma should work fine without that plugin.

    You can turn off the mobile option in JetPack settings.

    After you turn that off, also clear your caching plugin.

    Hi, WPyogi!

    I have deactivated the Jetpack mobile portion of the plugin and cleared WP Super Cache. I tried different mobile browsers and still no change. I have also noticed that my archive posts do not appear either. Home, blog, and archives is where I’m experiencing the main issues.

    Looks like there may be other problems – your site codes shows a whole lot of weird code – this is just part of it:

    dynamicgoogletags.update();
    //--></script><p><!-- [if gte mso 9]><xml><br />
     <o:OfficeDocumentSettings><br />
      <o:AllowPNG/><br />
     </o:OfficeDocumentSettings><br />
    </xml><![endif]-->&nbsp;</p>
    <p><!-- [if gte mso 9]><xml><br />
     <w:WordDocument><br />
      <w:View>Normal</w:View><br />
      <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom><br />

    What’s that from?

    And looks like JetPack mobile may still be active.

    Try deactivating ALL plugins to see if that makes a difference.

    Hi, WPyogi!

    Here is a list of the plugins some of which I have already deactivated. Sorry for the long list, but I’m a newbie and still feeling my way around. Is there any particular ones on this list that you recommend I delete or deactivate. I’m not 100% sure which ones I need vs. the ones I do not. Btw thanks for assisting me and I have no idea what the weird code is. The only thing I recognize is Google Tag manager. How can I find and remove it?

    Hi, WPyogi!

    I deactivated pc custom css (probably where some of the weird code came from) and jetpack. From my mobile browser smartphone and opera mini emulator I can see the posts. WP touch is still activated. However now the sidebar on blog page, tags, title, comment, category and author box has returned (due to removal of pc custom css plugin). They are visible on both mobile and desktop. https://celebrityscope.net/blog/ :/ Is there code that I can install into the custom css field or should I reactivate pc custom css again to fix this? The sidebar is fine on the about page only. I do not with to have it appear anywhere else. I did add a blank text widget to remove the archives, but a slender box and shadow appears. Here is the code that’s currently installed in the themes custom css field. I copied it from a previous forum post… mobile.

    (min-width: 200px) and (max-width: 480px) { .enigma_heading_title h3{ font-size: 15px; } .enigma_service_detail h3{ font-size: 12px; } .enigma_service_detail p{ font-size: 10px; } .enigma_service_iocn{ width: 50px; height: 50px; } .enigma_service_iocn i{ font-size: 20px; line-height: 45px; } .enigma_heading_title h3 { font-size: 10px; } .enigma_home_portfolio_caption h3 a { font-size: 15px; } .enigma_home_portfolio_showcase .enigma_home_portfolio_showcase_icons a i{ font-size: 0.8em; line-height: 20px; } .enigma_home_portfolio_showcase .enigma_home_portfolio_showcase_icons a{ width: 35px; height: 35px; } .enigma_heading_title h3{ font-size: 15px; } .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper h2{ font-size: 15px; } .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper p{ font-size: 12px; } .enigma_blog_read_btn{ font-size: 8px; } .enigma_blog_thumb_date{ font-size: 8px; } .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper_showcase .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper_showcase_icons a i { font-size: 0.8em; line-height: 20px; } .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper_showcase .enigma_blog_thumb_wrapper_showcase_icons a{ width: 35px; height: 35px; } } @media only screen and (min-width: 200px) and (max-width: 480px) { .carousel-list li { font-size: 9px; overflow: hidden; font-family: ' padding: 5px; line-height: 8px; display: block; } .carousel-text h1 { margin: 0 0 0px 0; padding: 5px; font-size: 10px; font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif; color: #fff; text-transform: uppercase; text-shadow: 1px 1px 2px rgba(0,0,0,0.5); line-height: .line-height: 8px;; } .carousel-text .enigma_blog_read_btn { font-size: 10px; display: inline-block; padding: 3px;; } }

    WP touch is still activated.

    Why? ISn’t this theme supposed to work on all size devices?

    Yes, it most certainly is supposed to work on all devices – see:

    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/enigma/

    So I don’t understand why you are even using a mobile plugin?

    Thread Starter fantasy_5

    (@fantasy_5)

    Hi, WPyogi,

    I didn’t like the plain wordpress view of my blog posts so I installed wp touch plugin. Also, the posts were not appearing properly on my smartphone (android) whether in mobile or request desktop site view regardless of the browser. I found this to be a tad strange since this theme is supposed to work automatically with mobile devices. I just installed wp touch on yesterday. The issues I am experiencing were there prior to the installation. Before installing the plug in my posts were not appearing properly, in mobile view, after the last theme update. It looks much better with the plug in installed. :/ I just deactivated wp touch. Mobile view looks worse.. only somewhat decent in desktop view from smartphone. :/ The mail chimp subscribe box still appears and I deleted the plugin last week. Author, categories, etc, appear above posts. :/

    Okay, I can see why this is confusing/messy (and frustrating I’m sure)… I just installed Enigma on a test site of mine and it mostly works just fine on a smartphone. A few minor alignment things I saw (on the date/author image) – but the site is also running WP4.2 beta so that might be related.

    But it certainly doesn’t seem to have major problems like you describe. So that suggests that something else on your site is causing those problems.

    The mail chimp subscribe box still appears and I deleted the plugin last week.

    Have you cleared the cache/history on your phone.

    Author, categories, etc, appear above posts. :/

    yes, looks like that’s now it’s designed.

    So, if you want to use this theme and fix these issues, I’d suggest deactivating your other plugins to see if that fixes them.

    But I don’t think that using a mobile plugin is going to fix problems that you already have in this theme if something else is causing them.
