• Hello!

I am newer to using www.ads-software.com and was not using a child theme when I upgraded my Oxygen theme, so, my customizations did not save ??

The customization I want to make is making the header image larger. On the last version, I was able to go into the CSS and just edit the #header and #branding and that worked. This time around, that’s not working. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to enlarge the header image? I think there’s some code that’s automatically resizing my header image to a specified size….I just can’t figure out where that is.

    My site is artofsacredliving.com

    Thanks so much!

  • Hey Angel1410,

I took a look at your website and you seem to got it fixed. I have the same problem, maybe you can help me out? Don’t know anything about the #header or #branding, so maybe you can explain?

    Thanks

    Hello Angel1410,
Please, how do I activate a child theme when I upgrade to Oxygen Theme.
HOw can I enlarge the Header image?
    Thanks

    Mokor,

They easiest way to get your child theme is with the one click child theme plugin. https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/one-click-child-theme/. It is better to download it in you dashboard, so you have it there right away.

You can make your child theme with by going to appearance –> child theme, fill in the fields and click on create child theme. The child theme automatticly installs.

I didn’t figure out how to enlarge the image though…

After manual way did not received the results I wanted, I decided to try installing Child Theme with the plugin “One-click Child Theme”. It did worked and SOLVED all the problems I had before.

    2. I resolved the header image also.
I inserted in style.css the line:
    #branding { width: 100%; }

In the cropping step, after uploading the image I needed, I just made the crop at full length of the image, even if the blinking crop borderss had an proportion of 400px/100px. Now the header image has 940px/100px.

    Hope this could help.
