Enrollment Instead of Checkout

    Hello,

    I am building a free course using LifterLMS plugin. I am having trouble with the ‘Checkout Page’ which is essentially the ‘Billing Information Form’.

    As my course is free, and the access plan for this course has been set to ‘no payment required’ and according to this page (https://lifterlms.com/docs/checkout-free-access-plans/) it should therefore default to the ‘Enrollment Instead of Checkout’ style page which has the following unique features vs. the typical billing page:

    Enrollment Instead of Checkout
    Logged out users will be redirected to the checkout page with the following modifications:

    * The layout will always be a single column
    * “Billing Information” is replaced with “Student Information”
    – The “Order Summary” section is not displayed
    – “Payment Details” is replaced with “Enrollment Confirmation”
    – “Buy Now” is replaced with “Enroll Now”

    But as you can see from my link i am still getting the ‘Billing information’ field and the form still displays in two columns. “Enrollment Confirmation” and “Enroll Now” seem to be working, though i could have renamed them somewhere…. not sure (PS i have disabled the heading title for this page)

    The main reason i would like the ‘Enrollment Instead of Checkout’ style page to be used is because i would like everything in the form to be in one column. I can even live with the current ‘Billing style’ page if i can just have everything in one column…

    I’m sorry you’ve run into this issue!

    With the update to LifterLMS 5.0, you can make this edit under LifterLMS-> Forms->Checkout! You can change out billing information to student information or any other wording that may work better.

    Dear Toyin,

    THanks for getting back to me so quickly ??

    My problem is not with the ‘wording’ on the form (i have been able to update that with no problems). My main problem, because my course is a free course it should be only a ‘one column’ page, instead i have a two column page and the enrollment / register button is in the right column on its own…

    According excerpts from the LMS documentation regarding “Enrollment Instead of Checkout” below:

    Logged out users will be redirected to the checkout page with the following modifications:

    1. The layout will always be a single column; and
    2. The “Order Summary” section is not displayed
    (this is all the billing info that is normally displayed in the right column, the column which i still have but only with the ‘enroll / register’ button (which is currently in Vietnamese)

    I hope you can help me solve this problem as it really makes the form congested, especially on a mobile phone.

    This is actually looking to be a conflict with Astra.

    It may be a good idea as well for you to open an issue with them and let them know that the checkout does not conform to the single column CSS!

    Users tend to have a little more sway in prioritizing a situation!
