Ensuring a user can only create events for his own organization

    I would like to ensure that a user who belongs to a particular organization can only add events that will have the event category = “name of his organization”.
    I am proposing to add an addition field named Organization into user profiles for this purpose.
    Can somebody suggest how I might be able to achieve this?

    Hi, just to confirm, is this using BuddyPress?

    Not using Buddypress. In my experimentation it seems that with my different organizations all belonging to a parent category called ‘Organization’ that in the order I define things I am managing to get the color of an organization’s category to come through on the calendar. But this seems to be more by luck than design.

    Hi,

    You can try to set default Events Categories under Events > Settings > General > General Options > Default Category
