    Hello
In my shop the shipping costs are always added manually by editing the order. But it’s asking me to enter them tax excluded and it’s a problem.

    – VAT on my products is 5.5%.
    – VAT on shipping costs must be 20%.
    – I created a “standard” rate at 5.5 and a “delivery” rate at 20.
    – On the “delivery” rate I checked the “Shipping” column.
    – At “Shipping tax class” I selected “Delivery“.

Shipping costs are always entered manually in “Edit an order > Add products > Add shipping”.

But at this stage it asks me to enter the amount of shipping costs excluding tax and to calculate myself on this line the amount of tax 5.5.
While I need to enter the amount including VAT (and have VAT 20 applied to it).

    How should it be done?
    THANKS

    Hello @atoweb,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Sorry, but I’m not sure if I get the full picture. If the order hasn’t been paid yet, you have full control over the price field. :?)

If that’s not what you meant, could you please provide a couple of screenshots illustrating the problem?

This will help us get a better understanding of the issue so we can try replicating it locally.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Yes you can edit and that’s what I called “enter the amount of shipping costs excluding tax and to calculate myself on this line the amount of tax 5.5.”

But I want to enter the amount including VAT 20%.

I don’t see a shipping method added in the attached screenshot, but generally speaking, there’s no field for the entire amount charged on the order page if that’s what you’re asking for. :?)

You can manually edit each line to achieve the desired total amount, and then click ‘recalculate’.

Yes I can modify each line, but by entering the price excluding VAT. What I want is to be able to enter the new price including VAT.

    Hi @atoweb

I understand that you’re manually entering shipping costs for your orders and you’d like those costs to include a 20% VAT. However, the system is currently asking you to enter the amount excluding tax and is applying a 5.5% VAT instead.

Here’s how you can modify your settings to get the desired outcome:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.
    2. Make sure that ‘Shipping tax class’ is set to ‘Delivery’.
    3. Under ‘Additional tax classes’, make sure you have two classes: Standard and Delivery.
    4. Under ‘Tax options’, set ‘Prices entered with tax’ to ‘Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax’.
    5. Save changes.

Now, set up your tax rates:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Standard rates.
    2. Set up a tax rate for your products at 5.5% VAT. Leave the ‘Shipping’ checkbox unchecked for this rate.
    3. Save changes.
    4. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Delivery rates.
    5. Set up a tax rate for your shipping costs at 20% VAT. Make sure the ‘Shipping’ checkbox is checked for this rate.
    6. Save changes.

Now, when you add shipping costs manually in the ‘Edit an order’ section, the system should automatically apply the 20% VAT to the amount you enter, and this amount should be inclusive of tax.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or if something isn’t clear, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks!
