    Hello,

I’m currently using the plugin with Stripe in test mode. When I enter an email address in the field labeled “Enter your email address” on the tip form, the receipt is not sent to that address. It is sent to the address of my user account. Can I use that field to send the receipt to an address other than that of my user account?

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

Right now that is intentional, just so that there’s never any confusion about which email address is the “right one” for a user. If the email entered is different than the one they already have on file, it sends to the one on file.

Is there a reason you were hoping it would send to a different address than the one already on file? I am just wanting to make sure I understand what the use-case is here, and if it makes sense we can consider adding that functionality to the plugin.

I’m thinking what might make sense here, is to simply not show the email field if the user is logged in already. Thoughts?

Oh gotcha! I didn’t even think about users that don’t have an account or are not logged in. That makes sense.

I agree, hiding the field for logged in users would work fine. What the best way to do that?

This is something we’ll have to do on our end with the next update. It should just automatically start working that way once we finish the update and release it.
