• I’m using the latest version of the plugin, copy/pasting in the email and global API key no longer works, it just says “Email address or API key invalid”, and I know they are not invalid, and are copy/pasted. It worked months ago when first set up.

Please fix and update the plugin?

  • Hi @presswizards,

Could you uninstall and reinstall the plugin then try to login again? Make sure you are entering the correct pair of email and Global API Key. If that doesn’t work please change your API Key and try again.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I deleted and installed, activated the plugin fresh, and now it works, using the same email/API key I was using before.

Perhaps there’s a way for the plugin to clear itself or those settings out upon failure without requiring it to be reinstalled… that’d be very helpful.

Updates on plugin should not cause any issues like this. It most probable is caused by some other external intervention that is specific to your environment.

    Thanks

It was happening across a few client sites… once I deactivated and then reactivated the plugin, it worked fine, so it wasn’t a server or environment issue. It’s working fine now that I know I can fix it that way.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I’m reviewing the parameters and I see that this url is not working https://partners.cloudflare/plugins/account/, Could be that?

    Hi @junivillegas,

That endpoint should not be called anywhere. Could you provide more information on how you got that URL call?

Have you tried re-activating the plugin?

Yes I tried re-activating the plugin, and delete it, but keep the problem, the request never call this url, but i see it in the request https://prntscr.com/h74k61 https://prntscr.com/h74kbb

Sorry my bad. https://partners.cloudflare/plugins/account should be called.

I could not reproduce this error. I’m tracking this issue internally.

    Thanks

Hi, I had the same issue.

    1) uninstalled the plugin & reinstalled -> same issue
    2) installed W3TC plugin, with cloudflare extension, and I got a bit more info. It seems that the API (in my case) failed, because cloudflare is asking for ONE MORE STEP. I guess that is not ‘incorporated’ in the API authentication check.

    Hope you can help here.

p.s. logged the issue also with W3TC https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/extension-cloudflare-cant-authenticate-captcha-issues/

also logged with Cloudflare support ([Cloudflare Support] case number 1435332)

    I’m having the same issue.

My first Issue was “forbbiden” settings page in wordpress plugin.
Deactivate the plug in, re install it.
Now I got this “invalid email or api key” but my credentials are OK.

Any ideas how to fix this??
    thanks

The error you are getting is custom error from the plugin. Once you enter the credentials the plugin is doing a valid request. If the request fails it returns Email address or API key invalid error. Somehow this call is failing you your case.

Could you try to deactivate other plugins and login to Cloudflare Plugin?

    Thanks

Hi, today i try the api and the email adress and now works. Maybe it was a cloudflare server error.
I didnt change anything, not even the cache of my site.

@cloudflare in twitter reports errors from yesterday

    Thanks!

I went to cloudflare.com and changed the site to development mode(thats what I was trying to do when I realized it wasn’t working) and then came back to the plugin and tried logging in again and it worked.
