Whenever WordPress would update, it would automatically update my theme, but instead of updating it, WordPress would install a different theme with a similar name, which would destroy all of the functionality and the visual appearance of my website.

It took me a long time to figure out that it was installing a new theme with an almost identical name, at which point I reinstalled the newest version of my theme, and everything worked just fine.

    Current Problem
    _________________________________
When I go to my website (cheryl-johnson.com/), the entire page is filled with letters and symbols (“?????e??…”).

When I log into the backend of the site, the website looks and functions normally.

I have tried this on Firefox and Chrome, desktop and mobile, with the same results.

The theme that is currently installed is the correct one.

The website was working properly on 2/27/16.

All of my plug-ins are up-to-date.

I’m in the middle of a job search, and I REALLY need this website to be working properly! Does anyone have any idea as to how this issue can be resolved?

Thank you for your time. ??

    Best,
    Cheryl

have you tried to switch to wordpress default theme like twenty twelve?
have you done a malware check?

Well, that was simple. I tried switching themes, and twenty sixteen worked perfectly, so I guess it’s a theme issue. XD

    Thank you. ??
