Entrance animations not working after update to 2.6

    Hi,

    After updating to Elementor 2.6, all widgets with Entrance Animations just “show up”, meaning there’s not sliding in, fading in, etc.

    Here are some links:

    Please help me sort this out.

  • I see the text animations fine. Try clearing your browser cache or use an incognito browser.

    I already tried clearing the cache and using incognito mode. That doesn’t help – the animations don’t work.

    I actually found the issue and fixed it. It’s this change to version 2.6:
    Tweak: Reduce-motion accessibility support for CSS animation library (#7968)

    I disabled animations on my Windows 10 machine for better performance. Turns out this also sets a browser setting called ‘prefers-reduced-motion’ to ‘reduce’ which actually removes all animations if the developer addressed that setting in the CSS, which Elementor did on version 2.6. I enabled animations in the Windows 10 settings and the Elementor entrance animations came back. ??

    OS – Windows 7
    My site is:
    WordPress 5.2.2
    Elementor 2.5.16 (i downgraded version from 2.6.8 to 2.5.16 to work correctly!!!)

    Optimize plugins:
    Autoptimize 2.5.1
    Fastest Cache 0.8.9.6

    And everything works fine – the animation works!
    Just only make downgrade your Elementor to 2.5.16 and everything will be fine with the animation.

    And don’t be afraid to optimize your sites with js & css optimizing – WP site whitout optimize js & css – is bad idea!!!
