entries not saving

  • I updated my version of WP on the 20th. Everything went fine, I’d not been having any problems. Now all of a sudden, I’m unable to edit an entry. Well I can edit it, but it refuses to save. I hit save and I get the pop up message “you are about to navigate from this page, your post will not be saved, yes or cancel”
    It’s not consistent either – if I try to edit and save an hour later it sometimes it works.

    I first though maybe I’d changed a setting in my browser, but the same thing happens regardless of which browser (or pc for that matter) I use.

    Has this ever happened to anyone before, any ideas what’s barfing?

    I lost an entire page last night (what a fiasco that was). Managed to get it back from a google cache, but still, something’s not working as it should.

    Apparently my hosting company are having some DB issues. Hopefully that’s the problem and it’ll go away soon.

    Update – Thought I’d publish my findings just in case others had the same problem. It was a plugin that wasn’t compatible with the newest version of my WP installation.

    The “inline-collapsible- more-link” – incidentally does have an update if I’d bothered to look, was causing the errors – which in turn explains why sometimes my blog updated and sometimes it didn’t as I don’t use the “inline more” option on all of my entries. The page I was editing when catastrophe struck had several ‘inline-more’ tags inserted.
