ephoto theme problem

  • Hi I have a little problem with a theme called ephoto. I do not really understand how I can get the images where they are on preview. I have tried to create a simple blog post with a picture but that dont work. When I create a blog post and upploading my picture that i want to have, it dosent show the picture no where, except it ju click on the blog text and then its all out of proportion. So I thought if someone had experience with this theme could help me.

    Here you go, I figured it out!
    ok, first cmod your “cache” folder in the ePhoto directory to 777.

    make sure all plugins are activated: Limit Posts, WP Page Navi, Wp Post Ratings and Lightbox 2.

    Whenever you make a new post you will need to add a custom field. Scroll down below the text editor and click on the “custom fields” link. In the “Name” section, input “Thumbnail” (this is case sensitive). In the “Value” area, input the url to your thumbnail image.

    create a category called “Featured Articles” it must be spelled correctly, (also case sensitive) make sure you don’t edit or change the “slug” – so the “slug” should auto set to: featured-articles. now once you have created articles simply add them to the featured articles category (with the custom field from the above step added) and it will add the picture to the front page.

    I didn’t start a new topic as I am not sure what to call it. Wondering if you can help me.

    I’m a noobie creating a blog wordpress 2.8.2. I tried to upload a theme called Rock Solid (https://forthelose.org/themes/rocksolid/rocksolid-a-premium-wordpress-theme/ ) – which I really want as it matches up to all my immediate requirements (allowing me to slowly learn as I go how to customize etc).

    I followed the instructions but the theme ended up sitting in its Zip package in my Media Library. I’m pig ignorant about what “lies beneath” – but wondered if it could have something to do with the version I am using?

    I had the same problem than I solved it thanks to selcyis. I added some pictures and it worked fine. But now the new pictures I add doesn’t appear on thumbnail section.

    Ducuthesheriff, I checked out your site and I might know your issue. You need to have your target image folder on cache 777 and make sure the custom field has Thumbnail and value: https://targeting your image.com. If it doesnt work email me your info and I will fix it for you.

    Isla, no it doesnt matter what verison your wordpress is! You need to unzip your theme drop it in your root folder https://www.domain.com/wp-content/theme then active the theme in the appearance/theme setting, then it should work on your domain. I hope I solved your question, if not message me with your info and I will help the best as I can.

    Everyone, make sure the custom field is writen correctly and the Featured Article category is selected.

    On my homepage to be only the categories and if you click on one of the categories to be taken to the category in the normal way of the theme.

    I have created a modelling portfolio for my girlfriend and on the portfolio page 10 images appear, I’ve looked through all the files and couldn’t work out what I needed to change, It’s quite silly of the developer to have set it to 10 photos instead of 12 or 8.
