    The way that Twitter and Facebook select the image to feature is not always clear, so I can’t really help you there.

    It sounds like you might have a plugin installed that is affecting what image is used there (or maybe your theme is doing it) and it is only affecting standard posts and not other post types. I cannot, however, say for sure and there’s nothing I can really do to work around this as SSP does nothing to affect the image featured on social networks, but rather relies on WP’s own functions for that.
