Episodes Disappeared

    Hi, all.

    We noticed this morning that two of our episodes had disappeared from most feeds. I did some research and found out that the default limit of posts is set to 10. I increased that limit to 200 a few hours ago. The feeds have yet to show these changes.

    My question is will those episodes get added back, or will I need to re-publish them?

    Are you saying they are not visible under
    Yourwebsite.com/feed ?

    Feeds can sometimes get broken if your posts have some special characters. You can use a feed validator to check for any errors such as :
    https://validator.w3.org/feed/

    They are missing from Google Play, iTunes, Stitcher, and Podcast Addict (the only places they have been releasing). The posts are still visible from the blubrry blog to which it is linked.

    The posts contain no special characters. They had been posted for over a month before our most-recent episodes published, putting us over the limit of 10 (which i didn’t know about and have since updated).

    Can you share the complete URL of the feed of your podcast (what you have submitted at various services)?

    Also if you can let me know the titles of the episodes that are missing.

    The two episodes that are currently missing are titled “Introduction” and “Illicit Fudge.”

    I checked https://www.southernspiritspodcast.com/feed and i could see the posts you mentioned when i checked it on Firefox (it has a built in feed reader).

    You may want to check some way to refresh the feed at your podcast providers. It is likely the feed had an error earlier and skipped these episodes.

    The episodes have been published on those providers previously. The issue is that we went over our post limit according to WordPress. I then changed the post limit to 200 instead of 10. I want those episodes to still be available on the podcast providers, but they are not. They are available on the website only, where you found them.

    Do I need to re-publish those episodes, or is there a way to retrieve them and make them available again in their original release space?
