I have an eps file and confirmed that it is image/x-eps mime type (using this tool: https://htmlstrip.com/mime-file-type-checker). I added .eps with a comma separated list of types: application/postscript, image/x-eps, application/eps, application/x-eps, image/eps. When I upload the .eps file that is image/x-eps, WordPress still says “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

  • Hi @sstruemph,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please share the .eps file with us? EPS files can have an application/postscript mime type as well. This is because finfo_file() can handle file types differently across PHP versions. So, that file type checker tool you’re using can yield a different mime type than your site expected. Also, make sure you don’t have other mime types related plugins installed that could create a conflict.
